May is Lyme Disease Awareness month

According to the CDC's most recent Lyme Disease Map (2017), only the state of Hawaii reported zero confirmed incidence of Lyme disease. Take the time now to use your digital media to educate and inform people on how to identify a tick and the steps needed to take when bitten by a tick. It's wise to have clip strips of tick remover tools and tick repellents easily found in first aid and near insect repellents. For all-natural tick repellents go here and look near the bottom of the page.


May is also Allergy Awareness month

I am still seeing stores losing potential profit from their generic antihistamine sales! If you are purchasing cetirizine HCl 10 mg. other than your primary wholesaler's generic brand, more than likely the retail price is too low! Use your primary wholesaler's zone pricing for all generic OTC cetirizine. If that isn't possible, offer a 20% to 25% savings off the brand retail for the generic pricing. Check your retails today!


May 12th is Mother's Day

Do you remember how your sales were for last Mother's day? All I can remember is that it landed on Sunday! Here is a memory booster+, it will help you remember year-to-year and become a better buyer: Download our Mother's Day Sales Worksheet.


May is the start of a greeting card sales peak

Mark your calendar for when your Father's Day and Graduation cards are to be up in the racks and ready to sell. Adjust your inventory of Wedding, Anniversary and money card holders. Speaking of greeting cards, a 2019 report from Research and Markets states that "Blank is the new design trend".


May is Skin Cancer Awareness month too

Help your customers find what they are looking for and mark the shelf tags of products that offer SPF protection with a yellow highlighter. Here is a sample sign for promoting items containing SPF protection for you.
