front end of community pharmacies

Show Me travel tips

Spring break vacations are right around the corner. This month, create an endcap or another section of the pharmacy dedicated to travel items. Sound overwhelming? It's not. You've likely got 80% of what you need already in your store. Watch the fourth episode of Show Me: The Vaccine Episodes, to find out what items to include and how to capture the attention of your traveling clientele.

Spring cleaning

Pick a weekend this month to do a thorough cleaning of the inside and outside of your store. Pay particular attention to the areas that aren't routinely tidied. Dust off shelves, light fixtures, and baseboards. Walk around outside to look for cracks in the pavement or the paint on the walls. It's the little things that count and if they're neglected too long, your customers will notice.

Mark your calendars

Daylight savings begins March 12. Be sure to change any automatic timers for lights, music and security. If you have an electronic sign in front of your store that displays the time, make sure to adjust that too. Be a step ahead before we spring forward.

Easter basket central

Easter egg hunts are fun, but hunting for Easter items around your store isn't. Help the Easter bunnies of your community fill their baskets by placing signs next to items that would make perfect gifts. Think candy, lotions, candles, lip balms and more. Want to get creative? Make your own Easter baskets for customers to grab and go when they come to pick up their medications.

Take The Next Step

Join NCPA's former front-end extraordinaire, Gabe Trahan, from April 1-2, 2023, in Charlotte, N.C. for the Pharmacy Ownership Workshop where he'll answer any question you have (and some you don't realize you have) in a special non-CE session titled The Next Step. Hear from Gabe himself about why you should attend OW or attend again if you've already been, then register right after.
