Got Unna boots in your wound care section?

Many members in the audience that attended this year's NCPA Annual Convention session on wound care agreed with panelist Rick Hogle, RPh that adding an Unna Boot to wound care and or first aid department is a good idea. Unna Boots are used to treat edema, ulcers, and sores; the boot offers an attractive profit margin and, in many cases, is hard to find.


Creative post card idea

While attending the marketing CE session, Pat Monaco made a great suggestion of creating a postcard with a photo of a person on the front smiling while being shocked or blown away. The back of the mailing piece would have the message something like this: This is how one feels when your pharmacist actually talks to you. Feel this way by shopping your local community pharmacy. Brilliant!


Spray painting pegboard

During the pharmacy front-end refresh session, Jessica Ayres of Pickerington Pharmacy proved that you could indeed rejuvenate your store by spray painting the pegboard backing of your fixtures! And Hugh Chancy surprised us all by sharing how elegant his store looks with freshly spray-painted black ceiling tiles! Who knew? Beautiful. See them here.


Here's a puzzle for you

During the Shoot the Breeze session following "The Riches are in the Niches" session, Samantha Kelly, RPh owner of both Kapler's Pharmacy and Medicine Solutions compounding pharmacy was bombarded with questions about Zen Puzzles! Samantha says she leaves a puzzle out for customers to explore and some won't leave until the puzzle is completed! She, of course, is more than happy to sell customers a puzzle to take home.


Goody bag goody

Big hit found in the goody bag for those who attended the "All About Your Business" breakfast was a pack of "Eyes" from ToGoSpa. Fast acting gel pads to aid stressed, tired and aging eyes and skin.
